No. No. I am putting my foot down right here, right now.

Deliberately making things that suck and are not entertaining is no longer acceptable and should not be encouraged. Fuck this. Fuck assholes like Tim & Eric for making things like this popular.

There are plenty of awful things in the media without contributing to the awfulness on purpose.

Mancakes - 2012-02-04

Five just because you dragged Tim and Eric into this. They suck ass, but it's not like they're the two horsemen of the suckpocalypse.

StanleyPain - 2012-02-04

Tim and Eric has become the modern day version of the Satanic Moral Panic of the 1980s only with the world of comedy.

giygusattack - 2012-02-04

I actually found a significant amount of humorous entertainment value from the irony of replacing a popular, and moving film soundtrack with a broken, and pitiful rendition of the same composition.

Your inability to derive entertainment value does not automatically place a work into the category of "awful"

oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2012-02-04

Would you like it if it was a ukelele

jimmicampkin - 2012-02-04

Haven't clicked play and I have no real burning urge to hear a melodica cover of the Jurassic Park theme.

But I have to five star Binro for his stance.

As Winston Churchill was once paraphrased: "If you don't have enemies, it means you haven't stood up for something"

SixDigitDebt - 2012-02-04

I'm on board with this. Fuck intentional suckage. It's not funny.

Unless it is a cleverly done troll.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-02-04

@ giygusattack:

Yeah, I thought that was funny, too...the first time I saw it done about five years ago on YTMND.

Jimmy Labatt - 2012-02-04

I laughed at the one on YTMND too. I'm pretty sure Tim & Eric weren't around five years ago to force YOU to laugh though (unlike today where apparently they hold a gun to peoples' heads to make them laugh at unfunny videos).

So do you even have a point? Or is this another "rage against the Conan The Barbarian remake type of deal"?

Binro the Heretic - 2012-02-05

Are you honestly going to defend the new Conan movie?

Jimmy Labatt - 2012-02-05

Binro, as a longtime POEinhabitor I gotta say you're a good, genuine bloke and I love your passion for...stuff!

However, you gotta learn to let that stuff go, man. #1 rule of the internet: No matter how sacred you hold something, guaranteed someone will be fapping to it.

Now, as to your Conan question, no, there is no way in hell I would ever try to defend the Conan remake. Look, the original was no Citizen Kane but at least it had memorable lines and tits and soup cauldrons filled with heads.

My point is, you shouldn't get so bent out of shape about this stuff; it's inevitable anyway and it wastes your creative energy. Keep making awesome drawings of alien pop-up sac creatures from the sea (that you have dreamt); these things are what we love you for.

Agent #1 - 2012-02-04

I disagree.

Jimmy Labatt - 2012-02-04

Yeah, fuck you I laughed my ass off at this.

glasseye - 2012-02-04

Reminds me of Tim and Eric... so one star.

SolRo - 2012-02-04

being unfunny ironically is still unfunny.

Corpus Delectable - 2012-02-04

Trite. Boring. Bland. Lame.

All in all, a pathetic and ineffective attempt at edginess.

oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2012-02-04

"Edginess"? Do words actually mean anything anymore?

Jimmy Labatt - 2012-02-04

Yeah seriously, how the hell was this trying for "3dge"?

chumbucket - 2012-02-04

Surprisingly hilarious.

RocketBlender - 2012-02-04

I laughed at the absurdity of it.

Also, I don't like Tim and Eric all that much. I've downvoted stuff they've done, but also upvoted stuff they've done, often without realizing it was them. What I don't get is why anyone hates a video on here these days, from those Rythem Heaven things to kids being stupid, the response is "Fuck this and Tim and Eric", as though they forced someone to whip out their harmonica.

Binro the Heretic - 2012-02-05

Not a harmonica, a melodica. It's like the keytar of harmonicas.

And I'm not railing against Tim & Eric & particular. It's just that this trend of deliberately doing mediocre things in a half-assed unpolished manner as a way of showing you're "outside the mainstream" is really starting to piss me off.

RocketBlender - 2012-02-05

Kinda like those 'indie' films that spend even more money to look like they spent far less?

Now that's some hatin' I can understand.

GongWise - 2012-02-05

Sorry, I'm with the 5 star group on this one. Fantastic!

Spastic Avenger - 2012-02-05

There's definitely something funny about it. It doesn't remind me of tim and Eric at all.

WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2012-02-05

Kill yourself

pathetique - 2012-08-24

Just saw this. Am on team five stars. Fuck the haters.
