I'd link it if not for Watterson's death bots making it a bitch to find story arcs of the comic, but in summary:

Calvin is peer pressured into joining his schools baseball rec team, is put into far right field, and manages to catch a ball, only for it to be revealed that the teams had switched and he had put a player on his own team out. He's yelled at, quits the team (naturally told to be a quitter by the coach), and proceeds to play Calvinball.
