godot This album didn't get nearly enough love last year. I love how it sounds like sandblasted aluminum, with extraneous features pared away, like it was written on an Apple Airbook.
godot Also they did this fascinating thing on the album opener "Selfoss" where some Nordic Folk song emerges from pure wet reverb (no original - it could pass for Afx ambient) to the pure dry signal original. Basically a mission statement that ambient/minimal house is the modern folk/tribal music. You can see the same aesthetic at work in the costumes here.
StanleyPain Yeah Arabian Horse is easily one of my top 5 albums of 2011.
