The Mothership - 2012-03-14
I hereby declare the shitstorm of misogynistic comments season to be open!

citrusmirakel - 2012-03-14 You say that like the season ever ends.
Chalkdust - 2012-03-14
so is anyone actually acting in this or are they just reading tweets to each other...?
gambol - 2012-03-14
well that looks just awful
Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2012-03-14
I just ripped a pungent fart that I will forever associate it with this HBO movie.
zerobackup - 2012-03-14
I like it, there's no reason why every girl on TV has to look like a goddamn shoddy carbon copy of a Kardashian or Jersey Shore asscunt or Blonde Pop Whoever. Normal people exist.
pathetique - 2012-03-16 yeah. my problem is it's just telling the same story, just in a slightly different package (i.e. apatow)
there is nothing i find compelling at all about just "a lot of young rich girls in nyc." this is basically like, the cast of gossip girl starts listening to death cab in college and this is them six years later.

Steebis - 2012-03-14
I recently watched "Tiny Furniture" on netfix which consisted of the same actors, characters and I assume storyline. It was probably the most putrid regurgitation of "Daria" meets "Babe Pig In The City" I've ever seen.

TeenerTot - 2012-03-14 Yea, what's up with that?
Riskbreaker - 2012-03-14 It's hard to come up with interesting female characters in fiction. Women usually have little to nothing interesting to say, and this show is written by a woman.
boggy84 - 2012-03-14 i thought i saw some strong, deep, well characterized woman protagonists in that Brilliantly Written Social Crime Drama Set in Baltimore but i guess i was seeing things.
deadpan - 2012-03-14 There were also some great female leads in that brilliantly written, trenchant social commentary set in post-Katrina New Orleans from what I remember.
EvilHomer - 2012-03-14 And Horny Southern Vampires has just as many Horny Southern Fags in it's leading roles.
theSnake - 2012-03-14
Its hipster clobberin' time
Old_Zircon - 2012-03-14 What, middle of the road, Gap-clothes-wearing 20 somethings are hipsters now? I don't even know what's happening anymore.
nuzzles - 2012-03-14
Finally, a realistic portrayal of 24 year-olds who still consider themselves "girls".
TeenerTot - 2012-03-14
Guh.
Jet Bin Fever - 2012-03-14
Lol, witty repartee during her gyn appointment! Now THAT'S what I love seeing on television!
deadpan - 2012-03-14
So what lazy buzzword is Apatow going to use to shift this pile? Gynomance?
StanleyPain - 2012-03-14
Yeah it looks pretty awful. I'm just surprised the "angle" isn't that the main character doesn't play NES or something.
Riskbreaker - 2012-03-15 Or witty, or smart, or interesting
Caminante Nocturno - 2012-03-14
I'm supposed to feel scowling contempt towards everyone in this trailer, right?
