I approve

This one is a little shaky, but good. For a better example check out episode 2.
Spaceman Africa - 2012-04-17
they nailed it pretty well
Riskbreaker - 2012-04-17
Not bad, but i feel they are focusing more on the set dynamics rather than the actual review.

I love the premise as an explanation for all bad game review speech mannerisms.
citrusmirakel - 2012-04-17
This isn't boring?
Spit Spingola - 2012-04-17
Yeah, I like the Half in the Bag movie reviews but these game reviews are pretty dull and unfunny. Kinda get the sense that Rich Evans is the only member of this trio that cares about video games.

That was "Batman Beyond," not "Batman the Animated Series!"

zero punctuation, this is not. please empty out ur desk.
Riskbreaker - 2012-04-17
You seriously want another british guy with a fedora talking really fast?

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-04-17
@Riskbreaker: Instead of this? What's there to lose?

Riskbreaker - 2012-04-17
I would like people actually, you know, reviewing a game. No comedy skits, no self-pandering witty "i'm a famous internet persona" crap. Just a review, but i think i'm asking for too much.

If only there were video game reviews! On the internet!

FABIO - 2012-04-17
"Skit disease" is the bane of otherwise entertaining online critics. Redlettermedia started going down that road until they stuck the skits at the very end so you'd never have to see them.

Spoony Experiment succumbed long, long ago.

Also, Yahtzee stopped being remotely interesting to watch, or funny, once he got too popular. The last five or six reviews from him basically boiled down to "i played this for five minutes and couldn't understand the combat system"

Riskbreaker - 2012-04-18
The last five or six i watched, also, he started to just rip stuff for the sake of it, and became really boring.

lordyam - 2012-04-18
this is boring and just felt wrong. i'll be honest and say that i never made it to the end because it sucked. sorry

lordyam - 2012-04-18
plus wasnt this game released in oct last year but the video was posted in march. way to miss the fucking gate. this shit sucks

Once you've gotten hooked on Giant Bomb's "Quick look" videos, pretty much all other video game commentary comes off as garbage, I hate to say.
FABIO - 2012-04-17
Watching gameplay footage on youtube (not carefully controlled official gameplay footage from the company) is more useful than 99% of reviews (100% of professional reviews).

All that's left is to be entertaining, which is why Zero Punctuation is so popular.

This?....did anyone seriously laugh at this?

Jericho - 2012-04-18
I laughed at it. I don't really watch video game reviews...at all, and yahtzee doesn't do it for me anymore. There weren't very many gags in this video, but I thought Mike was pretty hilarious in each one and that the actual review part was pretty informative.
