dairyqueenlatifah Not to be a wet blanket about the tags, and not that anyone cares anyway, but that's supposed to be Boston, not New York.
Even though in reality, it's Melbourne, Australia, where the entire film was shot.

YakooMarkTwo All Nic Cage movies should end with the world exploding and everyone dying.
FABIO They really do. I was about to say, "Wait, I thought it was just a nuclear bomb," when I realized I was thinking of Next.
Rodents of Unusual Size me during City of Angels: Wow, that was the worst ending to a movie I have ever seen!
me during Leaving Las Vegas: No wait this is and
me during Wicker Man's entirety: ....
me during this scene: Roger Ebert prepared me and yet...fuck
Caminante Nocturno Oh my god, the aliens' space ship is Ryo-Ohki!
StanleyPain Now we know how'd it got burned.
Ursa_minor Whoa, even the ocean blowed up.
Riskbreaker and knowing is the first step...
The Mothership Uh oh, look out for that tree; might bear knowledge containing fruit. .
TeenerTot Yeah, I didn't quite get this movie. It started off as a creepy dommsday thriller, then turned into some sort of religious metaphor with the angeliens.
MacGyver Style Bomb This is perhaps the biggest thing I hate about the various blockbuster films of the last 15 years or so. That, and the shitty, shitty screenplays.
Rodents of Unusual Size Surprise! It was written by a Mormon as commentary.
This is what Mormons actually believe.
No...really.
memedumpster What a terrible adaptation of Childhood's End.
fedex I think you mean The Forge Of God
Nikon Knowing is half the battle.
Rodents of Unusual Size No, Drive Angry is the second half of the battle. There's hot chicks and cars and they fight the Devil. Drive Angry is the movie that punches Knowing in the face.
William Topaz McGonagall Roger Ebert gave this film four stars and called it one of the best sci-fi films he's ever seen.
fedex in other news, Roger Ebert set to star in a cameo appearance in the upcoming remake of "Day of the Dead"...guess which character!
dairyqueenlatifah He also raved over M. Night Shyamalan's "The Happening"

Clearly, the surgery took a toll on poor Roger.

StanleyPain I never understood the point of this movie. So...aliens gave humans information about future disasters in the most vague way possible by encoding it all on rocks that basically no one can decipher easily? And instead of helping or doing anything about it the aliens just disappear for thousands of years, then come back when the earth is going to end to take the kids off the planet but no one else. Why? Why only the adults? Why didn't they help us figure out the disaster?
Nothing in this movie makes fucking sense.
garcet71283 It is a complex metaphor for the entirety of Nic Cage's career.
Riskbreaker I don't understand this movie, therefore, ANCIENT ALIENS!
