The Mothership Not pictured: the fact that the Scots - more than any other nationality on earth (except maybe the Koreans) - hate the Japanese with an unrivaled passion. This, I fear, was made out of mockery rather than appreciation.
dairyqueenlatifah I used to post on a weeaboo forum in my teenage years, and there was a Scottish dude on their who hated British and French and Arab and African and Indian people but loved everything Japanese and insisted that Japan was superior etc.
There was also a Chinese dude living in Canada who wanted to be Japanese, which was pretty bizarre.
