A long time ago I downloaded PDF copies of many copies of this comic. It is truly bizarre. I probably would have liked it as a kid too.
Herbie's greatest power and greatest weakness is that he gives almost no fucks. He doesn't fly, he just walks upward. Needs a time machine? Commandeers the nearest clock.
All of our Elk's Club granddads and uncles got together and wrote this after the war, one agonizing pun at a time.
I found a copy of Herbie at a garage sale when I was like 7, and absolutely loved it.
