Anyone wanna play count the overused fantasy cliches?
Yeah, me neither.
The D&D paradigm is capable of so much more
Remember the Fiend Folio?
There was a 2?
Yes, but rather than going direct-to-video, it went direct-to-Scifi-Channel.
True, but you did get to watch a Wayans get killed. It doesn't justify the rest of it, but it is a bit of sweet relief amidst the horror.

I remember the Book of Vile Darkness. This might me one of those rare cases where the movie is much better off not being faithful to the source material.
I mean, it still looks awful.
I want a Tomb Of Horrors movie where they stay true to the Game rather than the book that was written afterward, and it's just generation after generation of Heroes going into the Tomb and getting killed in horribly nasty ways, each hearing tales from the previous generations so they get a little further in before getting killed.
And it would end with a hero just getting frustrated and going "No, damn it Jerry I've been trying for three months and I can't get any further. I'm not playing this stupid campaign anymore." and walking away.
Every special effect featured in trailer.
It's a dangerous game we play, this Game of Saving Throws.

They should just do "The Temple of Elemental Evil". Easy film, the whole party is either dead or dying by the fourth encounter.
I'VE SEEN 'ORRORS, FAVVER
where the fuck is this? Greyhawk? Forgotten Realms? Dragonlance? Mordor?
I refused to have anything to do with Dungeons and Dragons after it destroyed my friends' lives and led them into a pit of despair and occultism. Also it's hella lame.
You think it's safe to teach people the "KILL" Power Word?
You can't just say there won't be a reckoning.
It's not fair.
