Mr. Purple Cat Esq. Actually one trend I dont like in modern computer games is trying to achieve more and more realistic graphics. I dont see the point of making a virtual world and then trying to make it look just like this one.
This kinda stuff is more interesting imo + computers are *good* at rendering huge shiny metal planes and such.
garcet71283 This is precisely one of the reasons why games like Minecraft and even fucking World of Warcraft are important.
They remind people that sometimes, it is ok (and extremely commercially viable) to just look like a computer game.

memedumpster I think there is value in making a virtual world as accurately as possible and that value is in blowing it up.
