I discovered Scary Dave when someone uploaded this video to a porno site. It was the only non-porno to be found, and it was a wonderful surprise, an oasis of humanity in a desert of... well, porn.
This will seem like a weird comparison, but Scary Dave's videos remind me of Boxxy, who I love. They're surprisingly well-lit, well-framed, and well-photographed, and unusually comfortable and intimate. People really don't appreciate how fresh and innovative it is to have one person sitting and talking (or singing) to one person at his/her computer. Before the internet, when one person was sitting and talking, he was reading the news. Not everyone who talks to their webcam is good at it. It's a special talent, so rare and new that there is no name for it.
