Get those responsible? You mean you, since you just did the bad thing that's pissing you off?
TimidAres - 2012-07-13
Flawless writing.
They dont expect anyone to remember anyway, the memory and attention span of the average american is only a few seconds. I mean, look what major news networks get away with every day.
Combine this with yet another mind-numbing shooter in a market virtually drenched in them already...

Military "logic":

"They hid among civilians? HOW DARE THEY FORCE US TO BOMB THOSE CIVILIANS! THEY'LL PAY FOR THIS!"

The writing is actually pretty solid, especially for a video game. The dude is slowly developing out of externalizing his terrible decisions at the cost of...fuck it. Anything I could go on about would be mentally countered with "lol videogames" by anybody who is so against what they see in this out of context.

It's a solidly fun game that turns the gungho jingoistic paradigm squarely on its head while doing a good job of pointing out how irrational and horrible war and people are. If you're playing the yearly installations of ShinyVision AdrenalineShooter, you at least owe this a look.

I wouldn't watch this if you're planning to play the game. And it's a good game.

Poorly scripted propaganda videogame war is hell.

On another note, little kid games have gotten dark!

is that UAV...bleeding?

We had to destroy the village in order to save it.

Stars more for the description of the content than the content.

This type of game has no appeal for me at all.
Caminante Nocturno - 2012-07-13
Maybe this will start a trend in these types of games that will eventually kill the genre itself.
MacGyver Style Bomb - 2012-07-13
Let's hope so, or we'll end up with a game where you have to gun down child solders.

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-07-13
I hope the child soldier DLC comes with an option to rape and cut open the belly of a pregnant lady.

FABIO - 2012-07-13
There's nothing we can do about the thing we just did.

We have to make those bastards pay for what THEY've done.

As shitty as this is, at least it shows the consequences of of kill-cam warfare? I dunno, maybe it'll make one kid stop and think.

Seriously though, do I have to play as that douchebag? Can't I play as the guy with a conscious and frag my CO?
MacGyver Style Bomb - 2012-07-13
So yes, the modern video game adaptation of "Heart of Darkness."
Simian Pride - 2012-07-13
The incongruity is intentional and the player is supposed to feel like shit after playing. At least that is what the wikipedia plot summary is telling me.

So, yeah, this is pretty much an anti-war game war game.
fatatty - 2012-07-13
Well that's fucked up.

Things we learned to perfect in Vietnam.
