I tried to look this up, but ended up reading about another show called Probe from a decade later. It was created by Issac Asmiov and was about an eccentric genius CEO who solved murders. Really.
SteamPoweredKleenex I liked the Asimov version when I was a kid. I dunno how it would stand up to a viewing now, but it at least had one episode where someone was radiated to death as a means of murder, which was pretty cool.
