That's probably not even close to breaking new ground in Japanese sexual fetishism, is it?
Actually, it's more of a case where she is offended by the slightest transgression, murders him the bloodiest way possible, and then brings him back to life while apologizing profusely.
It's a pretty unsustainable premise, but you'd be surprised how many episodes they managed to string it along for.
