sosage HK action/fantasy films really lost their charm when affordable CG took over. The 80's into the early 90's is like the last hoorah of fun, dumb over the top stunt action flicks from HK.
I highly endorse this as this Friday's POETV drunken movie
Old_Zircon If the interlace bugs you, there's a higher quality version here: http://youtu.be/__r_gP7j-GM
You've got to rely on Google's auto-translate for the subs with that one, though.
Jet Bin Fever Today has brought me such jiang-shi joy.
Old_Zircon Somewhere there are photos from around 2005 of me and my then-girlfriend at a halloween party dressed as a hopping vampire (me) and Lam Ching Ying's one-eyebrow priest complete with all accessories and unibrow (her). Still my favorite costume I've done, to this day.
Toenails This satire is smarter than I would have imagined.
Seconding this the Friday's POETV drunken movie.
Riskbreaker This movie is a masterpiece indeed, haven't seen the sequels. As far as i know none matches the sheer brilliance of this one. Also, RIP Ricky Hui and mr Lam Ching.
Old_Zircon They're all terrible but #2 gets points for having a subplot that copies ET with a baby hopping vampire instead of an alien. Including the closet scene, of course.
