Sure, your "logic" may suggest that Hovind "doesn't know what he's talking about" or that he "can't trace the thread of his own argument," but that's just a consequence of your own brainwashing by the liberal intellectual elite.

Hovind and his kind are willing to concede evolution when it comes to animals, but they will forever reject the notion when it comes to mankind. That's really the sticking point. I think Potholer knows it, but there's no point in making the other guy's arguments for him; let Hovind give himself enough rope to hang himself with.

Seems like a simple enough thing to sort out with a little Biblical sleight-of-hand, which you'd think a bunch of Rapture believers would be used to. Just say that, at a certain point, God imbued a couple people named Adam and Eve with spiritual awareness, and all their descendants possess that spiritual awareness too. The Flood wiped out any non-descendants, so abracadabra. This has the side benefit of explaining Adam's and Eve's sons- and daughters-in-law came from.
