The only real problem with power windows is that they don't fucking work in the freezing cold. I like to roll down and then back up the window when it's covered in frost, _then_ get the fucking scraper out when that didn't work.
Perhaps it's cruel of me, but next time the window won't work because it's frozen, I'm not going to meditate on the funeral pyre of dead babies.
Fucking 15 year old idiot dies washing his car and I'm supposed to be worried and scared?

It's fun to laugh and make fun of people dying when you don't know them, isn't it?
I wasn't amused so much as shocked. I can't even imagine rolling my head up in a window, especially if he was washing the car. Did he reach into the car and press the button? Was it an automatic thing? If so, why did he shove his head through the window while it's coming up? 15 is more than old enough to avoid minor hazards. I'm not happy he died, and I'm not going to talk about the concept behind PoETV because I'm not even sure what it is, all I know is that a 15, almost 16 year old getting stuck in a car window is ridiculous. And the way the news people are phrasing it and playing it is ridiculous.
Look at it this way. You are more likely to be stabbed for your watch on the street than you are dying from rolling your head up in a fucking window. This is not news.
Here's what happens: if your toddler's neck gets caught in the wAAAAAUGH MY HAND OH GOD THE POWER WINDOWS
I DIDN'T THINK IT COULD HAPPEN TO MEEEE

I can't make light of this. It may be fun to laugh about this being an issue, but I agree that since we have the damned technology to prevent any child's death we should use it. Oh, and that last response from the American car companies is really cold.
