That's just the thing, Enjoy: they can have those things, and do. No one is restricting President Chickentesticles (his legal name) from gay bashing all he wants, just like no one came and arrested Adam Smith in his car for being an asshole. First amendment is upheld.

It's just that people seem to have forgotten that being free to speak means you're responsible for the consequences of that speech. Adam Smith and Chick-Fil-A are currently reaping some helluva consequences.

What these assholes want isn't freedom, they want a magical world where their actions never have negative repercussions.

In Enjoy's world, being polite is equivalent to being a good person. Therefore, the people behind the anti-gay groups that Dan Cathy contributes to are good people, while this guy is clearly not. The reality is that neither is all that respectable, but while Dan Cathy is making sure his money disenfranchises millions of people, this asshole just wanted to give someone a hard time for 30 seconds.

Free speech is not a shield for people to hide behind when they are being criticized or mocked, Enjoy. If a company's CEO can infer that gays are second class citizens then, I know this is hard for you to follow, free speech also works THE OTHER WAY in which gays can object and then encourage people to not give business to said corporation.

Funny how conservatives are all FREE SPEECH, FREE MARKET, FREEDOM FREEDOM FREEDOM FREEDOM FREEDOM until someone they don't like is actually asserting their rights.
