This was another movie I saw because the movies I wanted to see had already been checked out of the video store.

Some of the acting is less than stellar and the effects can be a tad hokey at times, but I thought it was a perfectly good monster flick. Finding out it had been made by the Hildebrandt brothers was an awesome surprise. I was a big fan of their work, particularly their "Lord of the Rings" stuff.

The cover, which I instantly recognized as the Hildebrandt style, was totally kick-ass:
