That was actually painful to watch. It brought back a long buried collegiate memory of some guy named Zipper who seemed to think you needed to blow _into_ the bong to make it work. Needless to say, we didn't see much of Zipper after that night.

This clip was so unbelievably sweet and endearing I almost started crying.

It was like watching a flower bloom. I really wanted him to get it right, but the line "Here is a statue of a man talking to no one. I just noticed this." is what sealed the deal for me.

I expected that he would be likely to honor his clear and explicit campaign promise to leave medical marijuana up to the states. These prosecutions end with a single phonecall from him to Holder, so you can't make the weakass "he's not a dictator!" argument.

I also expected that he would not sign the Patriot Act again, or the Bush tax cuts, or wage all-out war on whistleblowers, or hold shitloads of people in horrific conditions without charges or trials, or bend over and grab his ankles every time the right-wing media said "boo" for the first three years of his presidency. I also expected that he would work for the public option instead of against it. Look at what an idiot I am.

Oh and he blows up children and civilians with drones on the regular and totally doesn't even give a shit. Can't forget about that.
