This will be an interesting election. Mitt Romney stands for everything the wealthy and entrenched stand for while Obama merely stands for nearly everything. Nevertheless, the wealthy and entrenched seem to be putting all their chips on white this time. Nobody of a healthy mind could possibly support a Romney election at this point. You would have to be deliberately voting against your self-interest or greedily voting for your own self-interest. So it will be interesting to see if you can outright buy an election on any terms you want.
For all the liberal media BS I keep hearing, just once I'd love to have someone actually ask Romney or any other high-level GOP douchebags something along the lines of "if giving the rich a tax cut is supposed to increase jobs and wages for the lower 99% of Americans, why hasn't it worked for the last 40 years as the taxes for the wealthy have steadily declined?"
Electric shocks should be administered to the interviewee until they give a halfway coherent answer.
He is correct that we have things pretty easy over here in comparison to a lot of other places in the world. It's just that 95% ratio only applies to the very few people like him.
The Bush Jr. years taught me to hope for the best, but expect the worst. I want to laugh about Romney, but I know he is just one propaganda push away from taking office.
Actually, I'm sure the GOP and their corporate friends would love to have cheap manufacturing labor return to the USA. Rising fuel costs and tariffs are making overseas manufacturing more costly than it used to be. Check out some of the GOP platforms like Texas, which would like to eliminate minimum wage and a few other protections. Maybe next there'll be talk of dormitories on factory grounds to house the workers who have few other options once welfare and food stamps are eliminated.
