Love the channel... especially the video "Who Are the 1%?"
youtu.be/wqkyy3TzET8
Mostly because of the blurb "70% of this year's Richest 400 are self-made". Hahaha, "self-made". Steve Jobs would be rolling in his grave right now, but why bother when he can have Chinese child-labor do that for him?

We can thank libertarian policies for turning most of those countries at the bottom of the line graph into the First World's pillaging ground, sweatshop, and junkyard.

My problem with making the rich richer?
The inevitable recession follows the orgy of deregulation. Has their ever been a GOP admin that didn't didn't leave a horrific mess to clean up afterwards?

Toenails - 2012-09-16 hmmm... Teddy Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and...

Pillager - 2012-09-16 Eisenhower had a massive recession from August 1957 to April 1958.

I can only guess that this whole drive on lowering taxes by those with the most money and lowest tax rates is some strange quest to have the highest score when they die.
I mean, they can't possibly spend all the money they have, even if they went Brewster's Millions on it. Without some kind of global catastrophe, they'll never know want or need apart from those they create in their own little brains, like "that one guy has a higher number in his asset column than I do, the prick."
I'm still amazed at the Republican voter who makes less than even the princely sum of 0k per year. They'll never be millionaires, they'll never join the Koch-sucker club, and they're used and discarded just like the trailer park GOP flag-waver for their votes and their tax money.
I guess these right-wingnuts really did turn money into religion.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2012-09-16 Of course they can do things with it, and often they do. Mostly it's stock market manipulation and the purchasing of lawmakers, but it's not like they're sitting on a huge fortune while living in a two-bedroom ranch in need of paint and a re-roof. If they don't want to do something that'll risk taxation, they call their accountant, who can often rig it to be negligible... to a reasonable human being.
Basically, one of these guys getting upset at any tax they couldn't get out of would be like us being angry that Arby's wasn't running its "5 for " promo and we would be forced to buy one of their combo meals for .

I honestly wish Anonymous would hack the banks and transfer all the wealth these suckholes have to an account in Haiti under a Russian name.
Russia is a billion trillion goddamned fucktillion times more likely to help America than American bankers are.

This whole class strife has to explode at some point sometime soon, right? Because it seems like it will, and it seems like it will be pretty awesome.

I have realized that the main reason they want these things is because today's poor aren't begging them for anything. So my solution is to have a "Praise the Rich" day INSTEAD of lowering taxes. Everybody who isn't rich will dress like a peasant from "Les Miserables" and beg for money.
I figure this will be worth it to get universal healthcare. One day a year of make believe desperation.
