To anyone who's interested in this stuff, I would highly recommend Matt Taibbi's book Griftopia. It won't make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but it's a great read.

After the chapter(s) about Alan Greenspan and the cult of Ayn Rand, I had to stop. I was going to rupture something.

I own it and cannot bring myself to read it because its so infuriating

Make something complicated enough, no one will get blamed, it will be easy to blame it on "shit happens".

You guys have some amazing doublethink.

"Bankers are bad and have stolen from us all, destroying global civilization."
"Obama four more years!"

Even if you hold that Obama is an outright tool of the bankers, he's no worse than Romney on that front, but still far far better on a host of other issues.
