I get that feeling from just not immediately going out and buying the newest version of anything.

None of it ever works right out of the box, the fixed version will be better and probably cheaper, and it gives you a cooling off period to see if you really need it or are feeling the effects of the hype machine.

My phone still works just fine, and if it breaks, I can get a working one of the same make/model from eBay for under 0.
