Patrick Duffy looked kind of puffy.

garcet71283 - 2012-10-08

After examination, there are an alarming number of puffy characters in this intro.

Old_Zircon - 2012-10-08

This was the 90s, carbohydrates were good for you back then.

Screwtape - 2012-10-08

Finish the stanza, dammit!

bluiker - 2012-10-08

Eating his curds and whey.

Nikon - 2012-10-08

20 seconds in and I would have already clicked past this if it was on television.

cognitivedissonance - 2012-10-08

I forgot about the fat grandma.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-10-08

It's a much better intro if you consider the length of it means that its some kind of future purgatory where they are reliving the same two moments for eternity.

Also, I counted two fat grandmas! That's wacky of of you, TGIF.

Xenocide - 2012-10-08

The original concept for Step By Step was that it would be about a family of 15 fat grandmas who inherent an amusement park. They run the park while having all sorts of wacky heartwarming adventures, learning and laughing along the way. Also, they have taken Patrick Duffy and his family hostage and are forcing them to ride the same roller coaster forever.

This premise was tweaked somewhat after the pilot.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-10-08

Things picked up when the idiot nephew moved his meth lab trailer into the park and the zombiepocalypse exploded as the children had to decide which of the weakest of them to sacrifice.

EvilHomer - 2012-10-08

Was this the one with Urkel, or the one with the Olsen twins?

cognitivedissonance - 2012-10-08

There was an Urkel crossover episode, a three parter where he also landed in Tim Allen's yard after he built a jet pack.

This is not a joke.

EvilHomer - 2012-10-08

If you find it, I will five star the hell of that.

BHWW - 2012-10-08

Eventually they brought in Bronson Pinchot as a wacky new character, a hair salon owner, with Pinchot doing his accent thing like his part as the art gallery employee from Beverly Hills Cop.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-10-08

This is a week of television horror, truly. I am learning so much today. Things I can't unlearn.

Grandmaster Funk - 2012-10-08

It was the one with characters that fluctuated between irritating and utterly forgettable.

Quad9Damage - 2012-10-08

This was the one with the hu-larious Wayne's World parody, right?

And I can't remember if Step By Step was in the same lineup as Picket Fences.

Cherry Pop Culture - 2012-10-08

I'm pretty sure this show also had a Beavis and Butt-Head parody too

Quad9Damage - 2012-10-08

I vaguely remember that too.

kingofthenothing - 2012-10-08

Fuck you, 90s.

Stopheles - 2012-10-08

A time in which middle-aged women wore orange blazers to amusement parks.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2012-10-08

I remember as kids me and my sister would indiscriminately watch anything and everything shown on TGIF.

That all changed when this show premiered.

Grandmaster Funk - 2012-10-08

Megadittos, Rush.

BHWW - 2012-10-08

Also starring Sasha Mitchell, star of direct-to-video movies involving kick and/or boxing, who was also accused of beating his wife.

RockBolt - 2012-10-08

What have you done! I didn't even watch the video and just the title conjured this up this entire song from some dark recess of my brain where now it is playing on a constant loop. THANKS

Crackersmack - 2012-10-08

Watch the video for the song "Step By Step" by the New Kids on the Block and they will cancel each other out.

Caminante Nocturno - 2012-10-08

The green-screen job at 1:26 always pissed me off, and it still does!

Go to hell, TGIF!

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2012-10-08

And the one at 1:44 for fucks sack!

Кotki - 2012-10-08

Was that horribly superimposed sea really needed there at the end? What purpose did it serve other than annoy the hell out of me?

Grandmaster Funk - 2012-10-08

Somebody's got to justify their salary.

boner - 2012-10-08

This is so old it was probably a blue screen.

Xenocide - 2012-10-08

Well, they already established that this is taking place in Wisconsin, so people naturally will expect to see the ocean.

big pincers - 2012-10-08

so many Paul Reiser jeans (jeanses?) and Susanne Sommers has a very special set of features I always called vagina-face

Riskbreaker - 2012-10-08

I blame the 90s for pretty much all the bad things we have today.

SkeletonMichelle - 2012-10-08

The thing about this intro that always short-circuited my childhood, Southern California brain and filled me with confusion and rage is that Six Flags Magic Mountain is not on the fucking coastline!

SkeletonMichelle - 2012-10-08

Also, stars.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2012-10-08

Yeah me and my sister were all like "Hey you can't see the ocean on Colossus!" too.

Kid Fenris - 2012-10-09

"Richard "Rich" Halke - J.T.'s best friend. He could be both a slacker and seriously devoted. He later dated Dana (to the others' dismay). He is also the only character who wears briefs in the series as he revealed in a 1998 episode."

I love Wikipedia.

kingarthur - 2012-10-12

Staci Keanan gave me pre-teen wood. That is all.

DriverStabby - 2013-06-04

This is the worst fucking thing ever.
