I actually stopped the clip right after that bit, because I couldn't understand why they were calling that guy "a pedobear", and if there's one thing I can't stand, it's people dragging Pedobear's good name through the mud for no damn reason. But it was actually a clever (?) pop culture reference that went right over my head.

Putting on my MST3K beard, it seems that "for the lulz" is the movie version of the phrase "for kicks" from Wild Rebels.
Now that I think about it, a 4chan-based focus group could prevent stuff like this on movies and TV. Even if they didn't really feel like helping your script out, you'd know how badly it would be received.
