Many rape and child abuses cases (some psychologists say most) aren't motivated by sexual lust in itself, but desires for power and dominance or other psychological impulses. Or as I've heard it said, many abusers usually don't rape and abuse because they're aroused, they're aroused by the rape and abuse.
