There will never be another saga.

:(

Doomstein - 2012-10-22

Ya know, I think I'm ok with that.

Nikon - 2012-10-22

I'll miss the sagas as well. Inmho Ivy was the best saga, as Chris-chan produced almost all of the original content for that one without prompting.

I wish we could get more of the comics.

Riskbreaker - 2012-10-22

Trolls squeezed every single drop of life out of this man. Now he shut down from the world, even the internet.

Cena_mark - 2012-10-22

You never know. There were times in the past when people said it was over, that all the lulz were squeezed out of him. Then he gave us some of the best sagas ever. Give him time. He will return to the internet someday.

EvilHomer - 2012-10-22

The comics were my favorite. The post-infamy, troll fueled sagas were surprisingly productive (ChrisChan may be the ONLY internet personality who had the tenacity/ talent/ lack of good sense to thrive after the Prime Directive shattered) but I still prefer the old stuff. Chris was at his best when he had total creative control over his projects, spewing his own brand of undiluted, self-absorbed crazy onto a tiny corner of the internet. We got to know more about HIM, and the way the world looks from his eyes.

themilkshark - 2012-10-22

I think his role models for adult life are Homer Simspon and Peter Griffin.

Sexy Duck Cop - 2015-01-03

How does it feel to be wrong?

garcet71283 - 2012-10-22

I can't wait for the gritty reboot in 20 years, wherein the original CWC doe recurring cameo appearances as Bob the Lumberjack.

Quad9Damage - 2012-10-22

Jesus FUCK. It's like Buffalo Bill if he lost all dignity.

Seriously though, what the fuck happened? I know his dad died and he had a court case, but I have no idea what led to this tearful goodbye video.

kingarthur - 2012-10-22

According to the Internet, he and his mother each ran over (with a car) the manager of a local Gamestop in October of last year, had a court case early this year and most believe he is "laying low" to fulfill some sort of sentence.

Urkel Forever - 2012-10-22

I can't help but chuckle when I see these, but, seriously, the people haunting this guy--and driving him to be even worse then he would be otherwise--are not good people.

kingarthur - 2012-10-22

According to the CWC wiki I just found, they even know the names of his two new Beagles. These people are assholes.

BHWW - 2012-10-22

I'm reminded of the case of Nicolaus Paccione, the would be horror writer who was given to starting shit on the internet and threatening other people, including published horror fiction writers - he was obviously suffering from mental problems but people kept trying to poke and prod him

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-10-22

I'm not watching this, like most of these videos. I've only dared to actually watch a few, I only read the comments here and that is enough. I'm ashamed I know as much as I do about this lunatic.

But seriously, he should be locked up for life.

themilkshark - 2012-10-22

I agree, internet trolls are not good people. They're mostly teenagers with access to computers and too much free time. Chris Chan isn't a good person either. Even if Christian had avoided the internet entirely, his life would be roughly just as shitty and depressing for him. He's busy with court ordered community service for trespassing in the Pokemon card store he was kicked out of years ago. His own mother joined him, so she's just as much a troll as anyone else.

Staring at life's grand mistakes is what we do here in America. How is Christian any different from Honey Boo Boo, Snooki or Kelsey Grammer's ex?

EvilHomer - 2012-10-22

"How is Christian any different from Honey Boo Boo, Snooki or Kelsey Grammer's ex?"

For starters, Christian is about a thousand times more entertaining, and has received absolutely no compensation, monetary or otherwise, for his years in the spotlight.

Quad9Damage - 2012-10-22

Even without the Internet trolls egging him on, Chris would have still been a shitty person. That is most likely the fault of his parents, who were elderly/incompetent and allowed their aspie case of a son to live his life as a shut-in rather than encouraging him to experience life. Not surprisingly, Chris grew up to be a creepy fuck who made unwanted advances toward his female friends and acted out with the added stimulation of the Internet and the backlog in his balls.

It is none of my business but regardless, it is still really goddamn sad to think about.

Riskbreaker - 2012-10-22

Without the lunatics stalking Chris, he would have kept making Sonichu comics and insanely amusing yt videos. But no more...

Hay Belly - 2012-10-22

Urkel, my mom also believes the internet is Disneyland.

Urkel Forever - 2012-10-22

I'm not sure how not wanting to egg on the mentally ill makes me someone who thinks the Internet is Disneyland. I'm all for watching what weird, bad, or even insane people post on the internet, but, call me old fashioned, I always liked POE Red's Prime Directive. Egging on a mentally ill person and making him even worse, mentally and behaviorally, than they would be otherwise makes you a bad person. Creating a wiki about him Showing up at his hearing in court. Calling his home. And on and on and on. Bad people. That he would do bad things and not have a happy life regardless doesn't make it better to make him act worse and be unhappier.

Bad people.

EvilHomer - 2012-10-22

You're too focused on the negatives. What about the people who bought him that beer?

I'm all for the PD too, but Chris is remarkably adaptive and durable, especially considering his overall emotional and mental fraility. The net result of all this is he's doing the same shit he'd do anyway, only now he's got the attention he craves, and experiences brief moments of genuine happiness each time he falls for the latest troll.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2012-10-23

I think we've long known that the trolls interfering in his life were just as fucked up as him, if not more so. From what I've heard, the monumental undertaking of entire websites devoted to making this guy do stupid shit for their amusement is kind of beyond sane behavior.

EvilHomer - 2012-10-22

That's not funny! That's sad. Poor Chris.

I will cherish the times we spent together forever. RIP, good buddy. Nevar forget.

Spike Jonez - 2012-10-22

What an incredible legacy.

themilkshark - 2012-10-22

This is a public post on Christian's Facebook timeline dated 10/21/12:

"I send out this message to all people, especially the Trolls and Cyber-Bullies on the Internet.

I, Christian Weston Chandler, am guilty of a lot of things that have been mistakenly uploaded and leaked online; I have for a long time been stricken and made beyond crestfallen by the repercussions of my actions and words. And great mockery and egging has befallen me for years now, and it seriously needs to stop now. There are no "laughs" longer to be made at my expense, and the running gag is at the end of its tracks. It is better to Forgive and Forget, as told by Jesus, our lord, and is the way of our almighty God. So to everybody who has felt wronged with stuff I have done in the past, I am really, sincerely sorry. All I ask is for everybody's forgiveness and for everybody to forget my mistakes, errors, everything. Please, just forget about me in total; please, disband all online groups and individual hatreds against me; please, remove everything about me off of the Internet, your minds, and your hearts."

EvilHomer - 2012-10-22

Well, that sounds reasonable. It's bound to work.

Quad9Damage - 2012-10-22

LOL ROFFLE YEA RITE. 2 YOUR STATIONS, LEGIONS! IT'S A TRAP! CAN I HAS CWC?

dairyqueenlatifah - 2012-10-22

Reddit users? On MY PoeTV?

jimmicampkin - 2012-10-22

A man carries two enormous bags over each shoulder; he ties them to the saddle of his donkey steed. The donkey is restful, idly swishing at flies, nodding morosely in sympathy to its rider. Adjusting his glasses on his nose, our man glances over his shoulder one last painful time and lets out a sigh. A thousand memories lay piled up on the lawn, almost obscuring the house completely. Food debris, cardboard, a crayon drawing flutters past in the breeze. The shadows grow long. He mutters a goodbye, placing one foot in the stirrups and hoisting himself up.

Into the west they amble, across the sparse plain at a gentle clip. The figure becomes a black sillouette against that massive red globe, fading until they become ripples in the heatwave. As Morricone's 'Ecstasy of Gold' fades out from it's crescendo, a voice echoes across the grass wasteland; a strangled cry, "JUUULLLLAAAAYYYY"

Jet Bin Fever - 2012-10-22

Can we start a kickstarter for you?

Sexy Duck Cop - 2015-01-03

I definitely heard the ending theme to Kill Bill, Volume I as I read this.
