What is this show? That was one intense scene.
If you really haven't seen this series you should remedy that asap. This scene on it's own is only 1/10th as intense as it can be once you've experienced the lead-up to it.

I agree. It's such a good show. You need to stick with it for the first 3 or 4 episodes. There's alot of characters to be introduced, but they all have their own ambitions and motives and all act accordingly. Maybe I should give "Luck" another try.....

By all means, stick with it. The first episode or two look like it's nothing but stock Western characters, but they suddenly go in unexpected directions.

Also bear in mind that this is historical drama that sticks close to the actual history of Deadwood; very few of the main characters were created for TV. Even Buffalo Bill and Calamity Jane spent a chunk of time in Deadwood here in the real world; this isn't like on "Bonanza" where they shoehorn in a fictional meeting with Mark Twain or Emperor Norton.

You're fine with the word "cocksucker", right? Just checking.

I heard this show sucked out loud, so I never watched it. Now, every time a clip shows up on poe I am left wondering why people told me that, or if they ever did at all. It doesn't seem to suck out loud at all, even if these clips are the only good scenes that's still pretty great.

Probably suffers from the same problem a lot of HBO shows do: there aren't any great hopping-on points and you need to watch every episode more attentively than you would, say, "Law and Order".

Is that Major Dad?
The Mothership
Deadwood was a very good show.
