I don't know how you can hope to win an election when you're that out of touch with reality.

The GOP got into the habit of dismissing reality as political bias these last few years- no doubt aided by the influx of Christian fundamentalists already well-versed in denying the facts in favor of comforting lies- and reality repaid their commitment to delusion by tearing their collective ass right off November 6th.

Even now, they're hard at work on the same blogs and forums and radio shows that mislead them so completely in the first place, manufacturing an alternate universe where Romeny won, and the election was somehow fixed. Reposting a repeatedly discredited map of US counties color-coded red and blue, as if the vast emptiness of the flyover states should count for something. Screaming about imaginary piles of armed forces write-in ballots, literally millions of them and obviously all cast for Romney, that disappeared. Shrieking BENGHAZI over and over, as if they could somehow WILL a situation as absurd as impeaching the president for daring to be in office during a terrorist attack and willfully ignoring the suffocating irony of their outrage. They're that far gone.

It's beautiful.

I don't see what they're crying about. Obama's a god-fearing Christian who loves indefinite detention, torture, and dropping bombs on oil rich Muslim states. And it's not even like he's a "racial" threat to the white establishment; he traces his American heritage through his mother, and none of his ancestors were part of the African-American experience.

The Republicans are getting four years of corporate bailouts, drug crackdowns, and the media/ Hollywood leading the cheering section for America's latest military strikes. And after those four years, they can get one of their guys in, just in time to absorb the blame for our tanking economy and increasing financial reliance on Capitalist China.

Honestly, everyone wins.

I pissed myself laughing this morning at the RNC pundits on the radio on the drive home from work talking about how the GOP was magically going to attract the Christian conservative sensibilities of Hispanics and Asians and win again by "educating the electorate" because, and I quote "The Cubans in Miami!!!!" So get ready for the absurd hilarity of Jeb Bush and his Latina wife running with Rubio as VP with long, lingering tv ads of the rosary said in Spanish where voter disenfranchisement, racism, racism towards immigrants, and the screeching hateful ball of ignorance that was the Southern strategy are all magically forgotten. But they'll still run Jeb, because after all: you can't let the slopes or brownies actually drive.
Please, us semi-Latinos with Asian girlfriends cannot wait to laugh at you.
