Oh thank god they brought back the jumping puzzles and bionic commando arm from DMC4.

Nero's portions were so awful in DMC4 that I almost thought it was a joke made by the creators about modern imitators games with limited moves, canned fatalities, horribly out of place platforming, and emoo anime cutscenes. Maybe it was a big setup to make Dante's half seem that much better. As soon as you switch to Dante it goes right back to awesome with joking cutscenes, tons of flashy moves and combos, and no more damn jumping puzzles. In fact when you reach the room that Nero had do a Mega Man disappearing block jumping puzzle in, Dante just shakes his head smashes the mechanism making the blocks and runs straight through.

Oh yeah, this clip. They could have done so much better with this setup.

Because they went there.
