I haven't completely developed the idea, but I think what you're getting at is a big reason the left is so paralyzed right now, EvilHomer.

If you look at some of the biggest problems with our governing structures, like too big to fail, revolving doors between big business and govt, the general fusion between big business and govt, and a managerial class separated from larger society, those ARE state socialist problems. Since almost everyone in a position of power on the left still believes that state socialism in the mid-20th century form is the best possible type of government, they have no real structural critique of these problems that resulted in a large part from their ideas.

That's one reason why I really respect people like David Graeber, who are at least willing to call a spade a spade and try to imagine new forms of democratic organization.

I've really moved far to the left over the past two years. This is one of those rare videos where I can act like a right wing jackass again. You gotta give me this.
