That being said I'm really happy to finally play Minecraft with my friends without all this crashy jar editing shit.

They actually made an entire conference around that POS game?
|
StanleyPain - 2013-02-05 You might think Minecraft is a POS, but it's sold, like, a kajillion copies of every platform it's on. It has a pretty huge, if not massive, audience. Minecon has been around since the game was just mildly popular on PC. Now it's as big as most major comic/game conferences.

mouser - 2013-02-05 Ditto for Angry Birds.
Point it, despite the numerous copies sold and equally numerous clones, I don't see how that thing could ever attract people to fill a convention.
Perhaps I'm loosing my nerd gene.
I'm going back to my DnD 2.5 books...

Mr. Purple Cat Esq. - 2013-02-05 I think Minecraft is an excellent example of a game. Its core gameplay very strongly evokes some things that work best in the medium of computer games; exploration, the unknown, survival, acquisition and creativity without resorting to any extraneous bells and whistles (cutscenes qt events etc.)
