This is totally legal, right?

Thank you and bless you for admitting you are not an expert in law enforcement, criminal, and justice matters. That little statement of truth says a great deal about you.

Thank you for being honest about your knowledge.

You are right to wonder why so many resources were put into chasing one man, who cops so obviously intended to kill.

He was black, so we may see justice yet, but I doubt it. This is the result of Obama ordering the death of Bin Laden. Justice died with Bin Laden that day.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2013-02-13

Christopher Dorner will be back in "Loose Cannon 2".

mouser - 2013-02-14

Although Killdozer part 2 would have been nice.

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-02-14

Weird that they've tried to deny this all day. Of course they knew what they were doing. Rather than a siege they opted for a quick execution.

badideasinaction - 2013-02-14

But of course they call their tear gas canisters "burners". That's the official explanation, and the fact these burners started a fire is just a coincidence.

Not that I think Dorner's a good guy, but ignoring the topic of burning him to death, the fact there was talk of him having hostages raises some eyebrows when this is the tactic employed.

Also worth a listen: http://youtu.be/ cNk-bV40XMc

0:37 - "Let's burn this mother fucker down!"

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-02-14

oh, yikes. Yeah. Way to Waco it guys.

spikestoyiu - 2013-02-14

Not that I think this was a great decision (on anyone's part), but I believe the hostage stuff was quickly recanted. At least the live blog of this whole incident that I was reading made it sound that way.

badideasinaction - 2013-02-14

I didn't follow the standoff that closely, so yeah, that may have vanished early. Still, they didn't even know if there was *anyone* in there or not by their official talk well after the fire, so they couldn't be sure there weren't people that weren't Dorner in there.

Not that I'm losing sleep over him, but way to make sure future situations could end much less peacefully when this is seen as a negotiation tactic.

Colonel Cowlung - 2013-02-14

Once the cops started shooting innocent people that were driving vehicles that looked like his, it was clear that they had no intention of allowing him to surrender.

chumbucket - 2013-02-14

Good lord the YT comments.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-02-14

Why did you have to tempt me to read them? I almost made it to bed tonight without thinking most of humanity is shit. Thanks a heap.

simon666 - 2013-02-14

Title should be 'Police Burn Down Cabin Up in Which Doner was Holed' so you don't end with a preposition. Just sayin'.

FABIO - 2013-02-14

Sorry, but I laughed at this
