3D printers, I already want you more than anything. You had me at theoretically printing meat.

jangbones - 2013-02-28

printing guns won't stop them, but as soon as people start printing and using copyrighted products....

TeenerTot - 2013-02-28

I would think the manufacturers/patent holders of "real" Ar-15s would have something to say about this.

freedoom - 2013-02-28

i am pretty sure the patents ran out because you can get an ar-15 style rifle from a hundred different companies.

Mister Yuck - 2013-02-28

It's a brave new world, brought to you by smug douchebags.

Gmork - 2013-02-28

Smug pacifist douchebags.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-02-28

Those pacifists sure do put a lot of holes in people. They must be taking up arms to show how bad they are. Y'know, "false flag" and all that stuff.

Such sneaky people, those pacifists!

Gmork - 2013-02-28

I was, of course, referring to the idiots who think this video contains anything untoward.

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2013-02-28

I'd be willing to bet money this guy's running Linux. People think the Linux community is mostly communists and hippies, but the number is libertarian second amendment enthusiasts took me by surprise.

There was a guy who used to come to my Linux User Group who was using a 3D printer to make a 3D printer.

FABIO - 2013-02-28

A big hunk of Comp Sci majors are libertarian objectivists. IT IS MERELY AN EXTENSION OF PURE LOGIC BEEP BEEP 0110101011010101

Old_Zircon - 2013-02-28

I mean, I guess good for them for finding a way to finally touch a boob but they really mess things up for the rest of us.

FABIO - 2013-02-28

Good news, guys. The government's Department of Tyranny just called. They're shutting down the whole thing thanks to this.

Zaku-sensei - 2013-02-28

the loose hand waggling bullshit of 'bump firing'. I hate everyone who does that. Your weapon is semi-auto, get the fuck over your self. stop handling it so stupidly unsafe so you can fire it faster DUMBASS!

William Burns - 2013-02-28

YES. Not only is it completely unsafe, it also looks exactly like some kind of autoerotic displacement behavior.

Crackersmack - 2013-02-28

That isn't bumpfiring. If he was bumpfiring he'd be pulling the rifle forward with his weak hand while keeping his trigger finger relatively rigid.

He's wagging his finger back and forth so far because his trigger mechanism is all fucked up and requires a stupid-long pull, and he's trying to fire it as fast as possible. A properly functioning AR can fire much faster than that with considerably less effort. His lower receiver is probably way out of spec.

Crackersmack - 2013-02-28

Actually I spoke too soon; it looks like he tries to bumpfire it briefly, but it doesn't really work. His fucked up trigger probably makes it impossible to bumpfire anyway.

Oscar Wildcat - 2013-02-28

If you're really anxious to make guns, some simple machine shop skills will stand you much better than endlessly diddling with a hopped up printer. You may not make an AR15, but it'll kill people just the same.

memedumpster - 2013-02-28

"you may not make an AR15..." aaaaaand they all just stopped listening to you because you're obviously a liberal atheist with a black boyfriend who wants to ban white sex and God from ammo manufacturing.

THA SUGAH RAIN - 2013-02-28

Meme's above comment deserves a comment about how useful oxford commas are and how confusing statements can be without them.

memedumpster - 2013-02-28

My only crime is I forgot to put a hyphen between each word!

Oscar Wildcat - 2013-02-28

What you might call a "crime of passion".

memedumpster - 2013-02-28

Thanks to these people, 3D printers will be banned before I ever get to use one, since our coward government will find that easier than taking guns from terrorists like the one in this video.

CrimsonHyperSloth - 2013-02-28

Depending on your skill making one isn't so hard or expensive. Lot's of fun.

Crackersmack - 2013-02-28

You don't need a 3D printer; you can make an AR lower out of anything. People have made them from plywood and plastic cutting boards.

This all means nothing since real AR lowers only cost like 0 anyway, at least before the Retarded Gun-purchasing Panic of December 2012. Once everybody chills out AR lowers will be all over the place again, at discount prices as idiots start selling off their Obamapocolypse gun hoards.

Binro the Heretic - 2013-02-28

So all they're really proving is that we need to outlaw the manufacturing of such weapons?
