Skittles are like M&Ms without chocolate. What is the point of THAT? They are the M&Ms of self denial. They're not bad, but M&Ms are always right next to them on the candy rack, and you'd expect that those Skittles bags could contain little rocks, and no one would ever know. The devout Catholic Mayor in "Chocolat" who tried to close down Juliette Binoche's chocolate shop probably kept a dish of these things on his desk. I've eaten maybe 5 skittles in my entire life, and 4 of them were because i mistakenly thought they were M&Ms.

At least with Skittles different colors mean different flavors. What's the point of M&Ms being multicolored?

Actually, Cena, each M&M color imparts a subtle, yet, to the trained palate, instantly recognizable taste to the confection.

My personal favorite is Blue, which has a light nutty/earthy aroma, and adds just a dab of umami to the underlying chocolate that contrasts quite well with a fine red wine or a handful of cheap pretzels.

I like chocolate, that's why I hate M&Ms. I'd rather have skittles than some of the worst chocolate in the world smothered in sweetish candy.
