My only exposure to Ultima was from the NES version of Exodus and briefly trying Avatar before the obnoxious virtue and magic systems made me give up. I just took everyone's word for it that the series was an epic genre pinnacle.
Then I watched Spoony's videos on them.
What the fuck, everyone?

Pillager - 2013-03-15 I enjoyed the series right up until Pagan.

If you go to Portalarium's youtube channel they have a 20 minute video of Lord British and Iolo sitting around nerding it up something harsh and promoting the game.
I have to admit I'm looking forward to the game, though not enough for me to donate anything. From what I read and watched, it sounds like it's going to be a co-op RPG but there really isn't enough information about the actual gameplay mechanics out yet. They keep repeating that skills will be treated like a "deck of cards" to prevent the usual min/max sameness. Whatever that means.

StanleyPain - 2013-03-15 Don't forget, folks, there's TWO Ultima games floating about this year. Ultima Forever, the iOS and maybe-but-probably-not-on-PC Ultima game being made by no one remotely associated with Origin that looks like it will probably be a hack and slash type thing, and then this one. A lot of people are getting them confused I notice.

WHO WANTS DESSERT - 2013-03-15
Won't somebody donate a few bucks to help this poor multi-millionaire space tourist?

StanleyPain - 2013-03-15
So he had enough money to go into space, but not to, uh....publish a video game?

"impactful" is by far my least favorite word.

This video is either a masterpiece of satire or unintentionally hilarious.
"Players talk to every NPC with a tag over his head and ..."
Guy walks by with a "Gravedigger" tag over his head.
"We believe in creating a realistic world that is socially relevant and..."
"Our family trains ducks. Would you like one?"
