FUUUUUUUUUUUCK

TeenerTot - 2013-03-19

Wait...You can get arrested for not opening your door?

Lucy, you got some splainin to do.

Gmork - 2013-03-19

No, but he is definitely being put in handcuffs illegally. There is no obstruction of justice and she had no established probable cause or produced a warrant.

She can very easily lose her job over this.

Enjoy - 2013-03-19

Gmork you've never heard of police unions? They will defend her to the end because she only violated the 1st, 4th, and 5th amendments.

Oscar Wildcat - 2013-03-19

And as Gmork has so forcefully argued, so long as the sacred 2nd is secure, we can rest easy from the spectre of intrusive government.

Jack Dalton - 2013-03-19

Only possibility I can see is that there are exigent circumstances, which seems unlikely (i.e. immediate danger to the officer or someone inside). There might be a warrant exception if the officer observed criminal behavior... Looks like she's pissed because someone called her bluff--Most of the time people consent to a search because they don't realize they can say no.

Cockmaster Flash - 2013-03-19

"I'm not going to shake your hand."

You could hear the effort she put into not saying "nigger" at the end of that.

Oscar Wildcat - 2013-03-19

A gazillion stars for Dwayne's Terrible Dilemma. It was like watching Roast Beef get arrested at Ray's party.

stage - 2013-03-19

haha exactly!

Callamon - 2013-03-19

Do these cops ever get in trouble for the bullshit they do on these reality tv shows ?

Adham Nu'man - 2013-03-19

YOU OPEN YOUR OWN FUCKING DOOR OFFICER KISS MY ASS!

Old People - 2013-03-19

"Mandy are your feet sore at night/Goose stepping around all day"... was that Sting or The Clash?

Binro the Heretic - 2013-03-19

She was probably an asshole long before she became a cop. She seems like the type.

Enjoy - 2013-03-19

YT: "I don't always ruin parties, but when I do I make sure to break as many laws as humanly possible, abuse half the amendments, and bring a cameraman to make it look like I'm not even a real policeman."

Lord_Crocodilicus - 2013-03-19

Here's how you know you don't have you open the door: she didn't open the door herself. Cunt.

sosage - 2013-03-19

Do they not make hats her size or did she raid her Dad's closet?

Old_Zircon - 2013-03-19

First thing you do is lock the door. Second thing you do is step outside and close it. At least they got the first thing right.

when I was in college there was a cop who was notorious for illegally entering students' apartments without warrants in my neighborhood and he actually used some of the exact same lines she does ("are you a lawyer?" was basically his catchphrase). Makes me wonder if there's some unofficial protocol they're unofficially trained to follow when harassing undesirables.

Aelric - 2013-03-19

wonder? They absolutely do get trained to use language like that. I dare say it's not even unofficial, rather it's taught at the academy. Legal finagling and manipulation are part of a cops MO. Even if it's not officially taught, it's at least pervasive in the cop sub-culture and likely a tip the old cops tell the young ones.

Oscar Wildcat - 2013-03-19

Indeed. There is such an established caselaw from the War On Drugs that the police can say just about anything to establish suspicion and arrest you, search your premises, etc. As we see here.

Actually, what you get in response to Ray's "we're not opening the door without a warrant" is "we're going to arrest you, and hold you until the judge issues us a warrant, then we'll search. Or you can let us search."

I get the impression that many posters here have never had dealing with the police.

Uulanbaatorbaby - 2013-03-19

The guy who refused to let them in obviusly thought it was some sort of tv prank because of the camera filming.

Adham Nu'man - 2013-03-19

The guy who refused to let them in obviously thought they were cops and he was right not to let them in 'cause WHY THE FUCK SHOULD YOU LET COPS INTO YOUR HOUSE?!?

If they have some form of hard evidence that there may be illegal activity going on inside your house let them go get a warrant and then they can even bust that door down, until then they can fuck off with their little camera crew.

Honestly this looks so legally dangerous for the cop involved that I'm pretty sure she was just acting tough for the camera and just drove around the block, dropped the poor scared kid off and drove off laughing, knowing that they had some good footage for the reality show that totally made her look bad-ass and that the kid would be too frightened and grateful for having been let off that he probably wouldn't file some kind of complaint.

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-03-19

I'm glad these guys knew their rights, even if the cop still stepped all over them. Its the silver lining on this catastrophe.

bac - 2013-03-26

I agree I thought that was pretty awesome. Although unless somebody was passed out in plain sight or they didn't have time to hide the bong they shouldn't have gone outside at all. but still kudos for not opening the door.

Racketeer - 2013-03-20

Oh, police~
