It's also noteworthy the video's YouTube description mentions games that LucasArts didn't even make.
I'm as big a fan of Monkey Island as the next guy, but it's not hard to see why, from a business standpoint, any company, Disney or not, wouldn't want to keep pouring money into LucasArts.
why do people do this? Why.
(I mean record shit like this, not Disney shutting down LA, I don't care about that.)
Money and/or the fleeting impression you are cool and popular.
Horrific delusion that anyone gives a shit.

Never thought I see this guy's video pop up on here.
I can't say I've ever heard of him before, but links to it have been circulating around gameFAQs, with discussions about how awesome games like KOTOR and Lego Star Wars were, how could Disney do this, etc. I just can't bring myself to click any of the suggested videos, this was painful enough.
He's nothing too special. He mainly got his fame from when TAA basically gave him a shout out.
Last time I checked I had around 60 Karma on the GameFAQs boards, and I've never heard of this guy before.
Neither had I, except for this one specific thing. Hang about the general or discussion boards this last week and you must have seen at least one 'SCREW YOU DISNET!!1' topic.
"Back in the 90's"
Johnny Rotten's clone really lost alot during the replication process.
-3 stars for self aware hyperbole and lack of real tears.
I need real misery, people. Step it up.
Make fun of the stupid nerd, sure, but don't take Disney's side for closing down a respected game company.
Don't ever take Disney's side on anything.
Would not friendzone or marry.
Lucasarts made some amazing shit. You only need to look at the lucasarts tag to understand (there's your tag suggestion, by the way). It is sad, but those days are long in the past now.
LucasArts *was* a respected game company who *made* some amazing games. But they've been resting on their laurels for longer than some of their target demographic has been alive, so sad as it is, getting rid of them makes total sense.
This isn't RARE dying, suddenly and tragically, at the top of their game, this is a pampered vegetable going off life support because it's new, wicked stepmother doesn't want the family footing the hospital bill.
i learned how computers worked because of 90's lucasarts games.
Lucasarts is respected for games it made 20 years ago.
The last lucasarts game i played was The Force Unleashed.
It was like God of War combined with the smell of ass.
maybe write a song about your feelings?
I loved me some LucasArts Adventure games back in the day. 20 Years ago, they were an awesome company that made awesome games. Today, they haven't done shit in years. The game most nerds are defending them by is The Force Unleashed, which is a God of War clone, and okay at best.
The only real surprise about this is that it didn't happen far sooner.
"Don't ever Disney's side on anything."
Well, okay then. Wait, does this mean I have to take Westboro Baptist's position on Disney World's annual Gay Days event? And I have to stop watching Gravity Falls? Yeah, fuck that.
Hang on, what? Hooker, you muppet, don't tell me you didn't like Full Throttle! That was the best game they ever did!
I refuse to believe that everyone who looks human is the same species now. The Full Throttle Test will be the real life Voight-Kampff soon.
Ah. No, I meant for the emphasis to be on "shit." I forgot that "amazing shit" is slang for really good. Full Throttle is their best non-Star Wars game.
Please tell me we're at least getting some huge LucsArts anthology out of this from Disney, maybe one that includes the adventure stuff from the 80's and the Star Wars stuff through at least the mid-90's.
Oh, I didn't watch the video. I don't know who that is, but it looks like five minutes of someone whose opinions I don't care about.
As long as those old games remain available to purchase or legally acquire in some form, I've no go complaints. This is Disney we're talking about, though. I'd hate to see the Monkey Island remasters get yanked off Steam over some new distribution rights bullshit.
LucasArts was still around?
Mr. Purple Cat Esq.
Their zombified body has been kept as part of George Lucas' interminable star wars flogging (pun intended) a dead horse initiative
It's too bad about Star Wars 1313. The previous 1,312 games in the series were pretty good.
I don't recall playing a LucasArts game since Tie Fighter or Grim Fandango, but by god those were excellent games.
PEOPLE PAY ATTENTION TO ME AND MY ABRASIVE WACKY INTERNET NERD OPINIONATOR PERSONALITY
How DARE Hitler put red on white in his fascist logos, WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THIS INDUSTRY!? MY GOD THE ALBEDO ON THOSE BOOTS IS OFFENSIVE, FUCK YOU, NAZIS, YOU SUCK!
I remember this guy's mug from many, many video replies to Anita Sarkeesian's stuff where he ZINGS that FEMINIST so hard, holy crap.
Ugh, what a blowhard.
I think he made a video reply to Anita when she posted her first video on Women vs. Tropes and he whined about how the comments were disabled. Basically saying the same thing as TAA said in his video to Anita.
He also made a video response about the bus driver who punched a girl and sided with the guy for punching the girl.
Equal rights, equal fights.
Bitch doesn't wanna get uppercutted, maybe she should stay in the kitchen.
It's bad customer service to punch anybody.

This guy doesn't stop with the self-congratulatory mugging *and* the blindness to anything that does not fit in his imaginary nerd bubble? COLOR ME SURPRISED
