(for the record, I live in WV, but went to a different school. My sister in law did graduate with a master's from WVU, and can attest to what a hell hole that place is.)

I don't think West Virginia qualifies as "the east coast", either geographically or culturally.
On that note, making the move from West Virginia to North Dakota must be all kinds of depressing. I know the area between the two isn't phenomenal but what's in between is still much better than either the start or the end of that journey.

gravelstudios - 2013-04-22 West Virginia DOES has some incredible scenic beauty. I dunno, I have a love/hate relationship with the state. Fortunately, I live in one of the more tolerable places, right on the border with Maryland. Anyway, I can't afford to move.
