So what is it with all my submissions that makes them come up blank in the hopper forcing you to click "original link" to watch it?

Bort - 2013-05-06

You aren't submitting good URLs. Here is your original URL:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=755Ov3moUPQ&feature=endscr een

Here is the format it needs to be in:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=755Ov3moUPQ

Note all the crap I stripped out of the URL, so the only parameter is "v=". Note also that it starts with "http:", not "https:" -- that wasn't an issue with the URL you submitted, but it's an issue with a lot of URLs in these parts.

Wanna make this even more complicated? Go to this URL:

http://www.regexpal.com/

Put this in the top box:

And then put your URL in the bottom box. If your URL turns yellow, you've got a valid URL for PoeTV submission.

Here's what insomnia has led me to build:

http://www.paprikash.com/poetvurlfixer/

This will fix your YouTube URLs for you before you submit them to poeTV.

That will make submitting from a phone a lot easier. Thanks, bort!

Your thing about weight loss is great, too.

Thanks! This past week I bicycled 36 miles, 21 of which were over the weekend; when I started exercising early last year I would have been hard-pressed to do 3.6 miles. (This time last year I could do maybe 15 miles a week, or 20 if I pushed it.)

Now that I've gotten a basic level of cardiovascular health back, I'm finding I can gradually increase my endurance by finding excuses to travel to increasingly remote destinations and carry back increasingly heavy loads. It used to be that I'd bicycle to the dollar store (2 miles away) for some light grocery shopping, then I advanced to trips to the regular grocery store (3 miles away), and then I started going to the wholesale club (4.5 miles away). Of late I've been doing a circuit that includes all of the above plus the restaurant supply store, for a total of 13 miles. Weekly groceries may require repeat visits to some of these stores -- there's only so much I can carry in a backpack -- and yes, I imagine I look pretty stupid bicycling with all this shit. Stupid like a fox!

... shit, I think I just made it sound like food deserts are totally rad. Not my point at all (nor do I live in a food desert, I'm just picky). What I'm doing is entirely voluntary and nobody should be forced to go to this much effort for groceries.

This movie is a series of incredible bits strung together loosely by a talking can.

That's not how nice guys visualize relationships! You forget the part where they have sex right after every conversation!
