Neil Cicierega is as much a meme-creating self-absorbed attention whore as any Redditor, he's just a crossdressing witch instead of a fedora'd atheist.
I've visited reddit a couple times, and had the same problem with it that I did Poe-news; comment threads seem really disorganized and hard to follow there. Maybe I just don't know that format, but I always found that shit to be a pain.
You wouldn't have solved the Boston bombings if it weren't for reddit. You wouldn't be able to talk to an astronaut if it weren't for AMA on reddit. You wouldn't know Robert Downey Jr had a father with the same name if it weren't for TIL on reddit.
Reddit formed a witch hunt against an innocent man because they "proved" that he was the bomber, and that man turned up dead in the woods a week later.
This isn't the first person who has been killed by Reddit.
Reddit used to be a wonderful site. It was a jewel. High quality posts. Smart, insightful and genuinely witty comments. It started to go on the decline when it began getting popular back in 2009 or 2010. It's just a sad circle jerk now.
