Oh, good, she's not playing Second Edition.
Or 4th edition.

God, 4th Ed is boring. I played a few times, and after that could have written a script for which order my character's special moves should be used in every fight.

4th Edition shouldn't even be considered an RPG.

"Hey, you know what kids really want to play? World of Warcraft. We give 'em World of Warcraft. Only without any fancy graphics, and you have to actually be sitting in the same room as your smelly poopsocker friends."

What could go wrong?

What I hate most about 4th ed is the combat system. Everyone harped on it as being so good, but when it takes an average of two and a half hours for a regular encounter, it is not "fast paced and action packed."

I totally sing that when I play Magic with friends :)

No one ever had a way to engage and socialize with actual human beings before Dungeons and Dragons.

It's guys like this who made Hooper X stop wearing ska hats.

And then came Warhammer.
Warhammer 40k was one thing I genuinely enjoyed.
