Haha. I pee on all the mooks that thought this raping narcissist was a superhero.

Dear NSA, please just post here and state up front that baleen is on your friends list and will not be enhanced interrogated, so he can stop trying to suck you off.

The rest of us wish you'd get on with the torture already, it really is the waiting that gets you.

baleen - 2013-08-17
Dear NSA,

You've had a file on me since I hosted some really horrible shit on my BBS when I was 15. Thanks for not kicking in my door.

jangbones - 2013-08-17
Assange is a self-aggrandizing scumbag that did a good thing once

Paul Ryan is a hypocritical politician that lies when he occasionally says things that are morally correct

Drudge is worthless shit who would incinerate a hundred infants for five dollars

memedumpster - 2013-08-18
Dude, you should totally request your file, I bet it's a good read. I wonder if they noted how many people you've made cry online? That would be worth the FOI request alone.

Dinkin Flicka - 2013-08-18
Reminds me of when I worked in the admissions office of the university I went to, and ended up looking up my own file to see the recommendation letters of my favorite high school teachers.

They weren't positive, but were apparently irrelevant.

Old_Zircon - 2013-08-18
jangbones, Paul Ryan doesn't have anything to do with this video, ou should actually watch it.

Old_Zircon - 2013-08-18
I'm going to reproduce the video title here for posterity, in case it ever gets corrected:

"Interview with Julian Assange in which he praises right wing sociopaths Matt Drudge and Paul Ryan."

jangbones - 2013-08-18
as if there is any difference between Paul Ryan and Rand Paul

Old_Zircon - 2013-08-18
The bigger flaw here is that he never praises any of these people.

baleen - 2013-08-18
Confusing Paul Ryan with Rand Paul is a pretty easy mistake. I've found switching the names myself.

He praises Ron Paul and Rand Paul for their "principled positions" and glazes over the Drudge question with pleasantries. He is pretty supportive of them because they support his positions, he's clear about that, but then, without going into detail, says their hardline libertarian views can be simplistic and that they "undermine" those principles. He is pretty clear about that. It is not Assange's job to take political positions, it's his job to leak things. He very delicately and politely handles the questions.

Is Obama part of the ever-growing war machine? He seems to be for "getting us off a wartime footing," and has proposed military cuts and increases in UN contributions, whiling cutting aid to places like Egypt. Neither of these things were imaginable 6 years ago. Cutting 0B from the Defense Budget (down from his original proposal of 0B!!!) seems pretty rational to me. How difficult it is to pass anything with any kind of defense cuts, especially with places like Virginia and Texas determining elections.

Old_Zircon - 2013-08-17
Rand Paul isn't Paul Ryan.

He's hardly giving them unqualified praise.

On the drudge report he doesn't really give him even qualified praise, he says he was an innovator in his medium who has now been largely rendered obsolete by social media, and says he doesn't agree with Drudge's politics.

Pretty much everything he says is reasonable and the title of this video is hilariously inaccurate.
Spaceman Africa - 2013-08-17
I was surprised when I discovered Rand Paul was indeed a real person and not a nickname for Ron Paul.

cognitivedissonance - 2013-08-17
I firmly, truly believe that Mitt Romney chose Paul Ryan on the logic and frankly low esteem of his own voter base that they'd confuse him for Ron Paul. In fact, I'm dead certain of it, considering Paul Ryan was actively sabotaging Romney on the hopes that it would make him more visible forthe 2016 ticket.

Zircon, what's your excuse for his anti-abortion comment?

Kinda a douche move to consider abortion murder when you don't believe in condoms.

Monkey Napoleon - 2013-08-18
Immediately after he gave the example of anti-abortion as a non-violent stance, he went on to basically calling libertarians shot-sighted. He in no way said he liked or was a fan of their stance. Just sayin...

Sudan no1 - 2013-08-18
"anti-abortion as a non-violent stance"

This implies that abortions are violent. Again, fucked up from a guy who sneakily fucks women without condoms.

baleen - 2013-08-18
There's no way to really sugarcoat abortions. They are horrible things to have and horrible things to go through.
There's no such thing as a peaceful abortion. The reason why smart people are pro-choice is because we understand that the alternative is far worse.

Old_Zircon - 2013-08-18
He didn't say he was against abortion at all, he said that the interaction between Libertarians' non-violent stance and rebublican partisanship produces "interesting" results and then enumerated them.

Old_Zircon - 2013-08-18
Also yeah, what Baleen said.

Old_Zircon - 2013-08-18
Just because you don't like someone (I've never met him myself, but he seems like he'd be the kind of person I'd want to talk to as little as possible) doesn't mean you get a free pass to completely misrepresent what he says. Unless you're the government.

Old_Zircon - 2013-08-18
Or the press.

Sudan no1 - 2013-08-18
At least we all agree he's a shithead.

Sudan no1 - 2013-08-18
...Just sayin'!
Spoonybard - 2013-08-18
Those seem like pretty reasonable and diplomatic answers. Why would he want to talk shit about a vocal ally in congress?
Monkey Napoleon - 2013-08-18
Man, I can't believe Assange said he likes to assrape 3 year old boys and that Hitler was right in this video.
