This kid actually ripped off his former speech coach for this. His other speech coach and friend of the coach in question says that the kid had contacted his coach to ask if it would be alright to use Also Sprach Zarathustra (better known as the opening to 2001: A Space Odyssey). Later when the coach saw that he basically ripped off the end of his speech linked below he was super pissed. Kid called to essentially apologize when it went viral. Coach doesn't want to embarrass the kid or get him in trouble so he isn't making a big deal out of it.
Well he's honest in this way; in the speech he opines that if he could, he'd crush the shoulders of the giants he's standing on. I'd take him at his word.
