Now you've done it. Start the petition to get Tracy Morgan on board for the English dub.

Its OK.

It's one of the reasons there is an "Anime that doesn't suck" category.

Nobody gets a four leaf clover on their forehead and falls over in one frame of animation.

sasazuka - 2013-09-02
It looks like it's going to be a riff on SPACE ADVENTURE COBRA (perhaps best known in the United States as the anime used in Matthew Sweet's "Girlfriend" video, though I dunno if anyone much younger than 35 even remembers that).
SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-09-02
They overplayed that video (back when cable channels used to play videos) so much I think it got burned into some viewers' DNA.

I really don't get why it and "Life is a Highway" got so popular compared to other songs from the same era, save for perhaps the second one was an easy-to-use tune for any movies that feature cars.

Duck's ass. In space.

Needs more space battles, less annoying sidekick animals/robots.
Sudan no1 - 2013-09-03
You should watch the previously mentioned Space Adventure Cobra. I only watched the old movies, but they were satisfyingly gritty. He has a robot sidekick, but it's a cool fembot.

Needs more space boobies, less space battles.

According to NASA, space is the only environment where hair like that can survive.
Gmork - 2013-09-03
Not only survive, but thrive.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2013-09-03
Not only thrive, but evolve and create newer, shinier hair species.

So, from a perspective of three years after this trailer, and almost 2 years after SPACE DANDY finished airing in Japan, whaddya all think of SPACE DANDY?

Success or failure, specifically as the heir to COWBOY BEBOP... did SPACE DANDY successfully re-stoke that space adventure flame, or will it always be an also-ran lost in the long shadow of its 16-year-older brother?

Personally, I actually enjoyed SPACE DANDY more than most of COWBOY BEBOP, but I recognize why that's a minority opinion. I just was never that into the more serious episodes of BEBOP and a series like BEBOP that was almost entirely a comedy was going to be more my bag anyway.
