That was sarcasm.
Anyway, cops are often sociopaths or pretty darn close, so either this was just whoever happened to piss him off at the right moment or, perhaps, he figured that if he beat the shit out of some white people, at least he wouldn't get called a racist when he was put on a month's suspension with pay, if that.
I still find it surreal to watch these videos. I've encountered an officer who seemed to be on the brink of giving me a ticket for something/thought I was high or such and in a split second everything was A-Okay. I've also met an officer or two who thought my social awkwardness and condition meant I needed to be on medication. I don't know if he was skeptical about my previous experience with medication, but they backed off from there. Yet I still can't watch these kinds of videos with out some sort of disbelief nagging me.
I want to say I've also met an officer whose wife was a special education teacher and was an incredibly warm person to deal with, but I don't know if it was that much of an affect on me.
the entire idea of racing down someone who is speeding is insane. Most countries use horrible traffic cameras who will just erode your will to speed by racking up insane costs, instead of "OH SHIT HIGH SPEED CHASE TIME"
I thought suburban white guys that own modern American made trucks made up 99% of this country's PD fan base. This is really not playing to their demographic.
I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but all administrators/politicians want is a way to fire people they don't like. Every union contract has a lot of specific things a union member can be fired for without any muss or fuss, but it requires those in charge to document it.
They're either too lazy or can't falsify the evidence they want (since they could just be pissed that a teacher isn't mentioning creationism in science class or is willing to cowtow to a principal who wants them to do non-contractural duties after school or on weekends) so they go whining to Fox News and the drones eat it up.
