I like China Il enough to stay up and watch it if its on. Some episodes have even been really good, but I think Brad Neely really shines with 2-5 minute short clips.

Guess I don't care as much for the tv show, but am really happy to see him producing new things for youtube.

Yeah, his web stuff and WPDR will probably always top anything that can be aired on Adult Swim, but the first episode of this season was by far the best of the series, so that's a good sign.

I'm kinda weirded out by it being fully animated. Seems... wrong.

I posted a 'China, Illinois' clip where Hulk Hogan (as the Dean) vigorously and in no uncertain terms denies the existence of God, and it got one-starred to death.

It's not so much that Neely shines exclusively in 2-5 minute clips: it's just the change of format. The jokes don't need to be as laser-precise in a ten-minute show with a sustained narrative as they need to be in a 30-second clip.

Even then, not all of Neely's 2-5 minute clips are nearly as good as this one. Does anybody remember the rapping leprechaun?

Even the shitty leprechaun one was redeeming, even fuck the humans. But it took a while, like mold, to grow on me.
