i think video games are being held back by their boring dependence on the same approach to character and story.

There are many many things wrong with many games regarding their narrative, their views on what passes for "good story" or characters, and gameplay, and many other things so wrong with the industry today that we do indeed need to have as much feedback as possible. Sadly, this mess has caused zero real debates, just pointless internet drama. Anita's videos are also painfully superficial regarding the subjects she deals with. So it's a no win situation here, and it fucking blows.

"Painfully superficial" is a valid criticism of Anita's videos. Like I've said before, Nostalgia Chick made me realize it could be done so much better.

But Nostalgia Chick doesn't get certain offended sexist man-babies (to borrow from Stanley Pain) making dozens of videos about her. One guy, who calls himself "Mundane Matt", has probably done literally dozens. Part of this is because Anita uses THE F WORD, of course I mean "Feminist", right there in her name. I'm convinced that with a name like "Feminist Frequency", she could make videos about anything, say anything, and she's get tons of fevered rebuttals,

The question is more like: can we have a discussion? It doesn't matter how insightful or vapid Anita Sarkeesian is. The manbabies started flinging their poo before the first video came out.

I'm pretty sure that Anita Sarkeesian is more sophisticated and has more credibility than those making stupid arguments like "she only includes facts that support her point." (NO, REALLY??) and those who call her a "scammer", who seem to have made up their own definition of a scam. I guess it's no longer to call people "retarded", so i don't know what to say about these people.

But I don't know if she's right about video games, don't care, never did. For me, this has always been about respect for unpopular opinions, and there is a clear choice which side is the right side.

Oh God, give it a rest, John. I'm sorry her other video is dying in the Hopper, but sometimes, you just have to accept that you've been beaten.
