Fantastic! This may have been uploaded because of the Disney movie, but it's more appropriate for the lousy 15F weather for those in the northern Midwest.

Not watching unless there's a wacky snowman who says "THAT'LL LEAVE A MARK!" when someone gets hurt.

Some trivia about the movie:

-It was dubbed into English three times: once in the 1950s, again in the late 1980s/early 1990s with a really corny treatment, and a third time in 1998 with Mickey Rooney, Kirsten Dunst, and some intrusive Disney-style songs. You can find the '80s and late-'90s dubs on YouTube, but I couldn't locate the oldest one.

-It inspired a young Hayao Miyazaki to keep pursuing his animation career after he'd been struggling. You'll see the movie's influence in a bunch of Miyazaki's early stuff, especially Hols: Prince of the Sun.

Yeah, the feisty robber girl looks like the typical Miyazaki heroine. She even has a character arc within her 10 minutes of screen time.

Yeah, I was thinking the exact same thing. This was one of the best things I've watched in a while.
